Veteran Education Benefits Tuition and Fees Deferment
You may be eligible for deferment of your tuition and fees if your veteran education benefits are delayed due to state or federal delays. Deferment begins on the first due date of the semester, regardless of when the student applied for it. The deferment does not pay your tuition and fees; it only delays the due date by 60 days. If your funding issues still need to be resolved by the deferment expiration, you must pay all tuition and fees.
As a condition for the deferment application, you must be receiving veteran education benefits (e.g., GI Bill®, Hazlewood, TA, etc.) and payment of these benefits must have been delayed for reasons outside your control.
To apply for deferment please complete form TVC-ED-6. In your request be sure to:
- be descriptive when explaining why you are requesting your deferment
- explain why your military funding is delayed
- describe what you have done to resolve the problem
- read and initial all eight applicable tuition deferment requirements as state on the form and sign as indicated
