Managing Your Work-Study Award

If you do not have work-study offered in your aid package and would like to see if you are eligible, you can submit a request to be reviewed through your My Financial Aid portal. OSFA will determine your eligibility for work-study based on your financial need and the aid you are already receiving. If eligible, you will receive a new financial aid package that includes a work-study offer. Once you are packaged with work-study, visit our Work-Study page for information on how to acquire a work-study position.

Step 1: Log in to the My Financial Aid Student Portal.

Step 2: Click on “Documents” in the navigation bar at the top of the homepage.

Step 3: Click on the “Upload a non-requested document” link in the description under the “Documents” page title.

Step 4: Select “Request for Work-Study” from the list of document names.

Step 5: Select “Student” as the document owner(s) and the school year that you are requesting Work-Study in. For summer requests, select the prior school year (e.g. for Summer 2025 requests, select the 2024-2025 school year).

Step 6: In the “Enter Document Data” dropdown list, select “I would like to be considered for a work-study award.”

Step 7: Click “UPLOAD”

You can also complete the above steps if you no longer want a work-study award by selecting “I no longer want a work-study award – remove me from the waitlist”.
