Registration Times
Find the access times during which you can register online by checking your Registration Information Sheet. For more details, consult the Course Schedule.
It is not possible to change your assigned registration time. Undergraduate registration times for the first access period are based on your progress toward degree completion. Graduate student access times are based on your status as a graduate student.

Continuing and Readmitted Students
Use your earliest access time for guaranteed access to the registration system and for the best selection of classes. If you delay registering, you may be charged a late registration fee. If you have any registration holds, you must clear them to access the registration system.
New Students
- Undergraduate freshmen entering the University are required to attend an orientation for new students, during which they will meet with an advisor and register for classes.
- Transfer students are encouraged to attend orientation and can find out more regarding transfer orientation details.
- New international students will attend an orientation program administered by the Texas Global.
- Graduate students can find resources for new students and orientation administered by the Graduate School.
Late Registration
Register as early as possible to avoid a late registration processing fee. Information about registration periods, including late registration, can be found in the Course Schedule under Registration and Payment Deadlines. After the fourth class day in the fall or spring (second class day in the summer), undergraduate students may register only with the approval of your dean. You can start the late registration process (5th class day until 12th class day) in your dean’s office. Registration after these dates is approved only in rare circumstances. Graduate students and law students should reference their school’s website for policies and information on late registering.
All students, including those who receive financial aid or who have “Zero Amount Due,” must pay tuition bills or confirm attendance by 5 p.m. on the payment deadline or their registration will be canceled. Students who register late should consult the Course Schedule for payment deadlines.
