Consortium Agreement
Consortium agreements allow students to receive aid via financial agreements from The University of Texas at Austin to take courses at a visiting school (non-UT Austin institution) that are transferable to their degree program.
Consortium agreements are not available for Spring 2025 or Fall 2025.
Requirements and Guidelines
- Visiting school courses must count towards a student’s degree plan. Form submissions including courses that do not qualify will be voided.
- Register and satisfy payment for the visiting school’s course(s) prior to submitting the UT Austin Consortium Agreement Form.
- Read through the entire form to understand all responsibilities and eligibility requirements.
- Students must comply with UT’s standards for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
- Students must maintain good academic standing, with a minimum overall UT GPA of 2.0.
- Transcripts from the visiting school must be submitted to UT Austin at the end of the semester by the deadline.
- While consortiums may be utilized for coursework with D minus grades and above, transferred courses that earn below a C minus will not count towards UT Austin degree credit. Review the Transfer Credit Resources for details.
- Aid will be cancelled if transcripts are not received at the end of the summer semester.
- Your financial aid agreement may be nullified and all or part of your student aid may be cancelled if you drop or withdraw from courses at UT Austin or the visiting school.
- Forms completed incorrectly or with false information will delay financial aid processing and may void the agreement if not processed by the stated deadlines.
Next Steps
- Consult your major’s academic advisor to ensure that the courses earn degree credit.
- Register and pay for your course(s) at the visiting school.
- Submit the UT Austin Consortium Agreement Form by the deadline.
- Once your form has been submitted, UT Austin will verify course enrollment by sending the form to the visiting school.

Visiting schools have varying timelines for course enrollment verification. If your form is being held at the visiting school, we encourage you to contact them about the form’s status to prompt processing.
